Mary Ann McKenna Ferraguto

After reviewing her credentials, a resume writer once described Mary Ann “as an individual with a passion for organization, research, and problem solving”. Little did he know that he was sowing the seeds of a future business venture!

SHED Organizing Services is a unique company blending skills Mary Ann has developed over several careers. By combining experience gained through interior design, library school research and over a dozen corporate moves, she brings resolution and order to the most chaotic of situations - and makes it look easy!

A native of the Connecticut shoreline, Mary Ann graduated from Albertus Magnus College. She moved to the Washington area in 1979 and entered the Interior Design program at Mount Vernon College, now a part of George Washington University. She graduated in 1982.

She has lived in Alexandria for the past 25 years. During this time she has worked on, and participated in, numerous fund-raising and special event projects.

Her three sons are graduates of Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, Virginia. The eldest graduated in May 2006 from Hobart College in Geneva, NY. Her other two sons graduated in 2009 from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
