Welcome to SHED Organizing Services LLC

1. How does this process work?

Once you have contacted me, we set up an appointment time to discuss your project. A phone consultation is free. I charge a small travel fee for a 1 hour onsite initial consultation.

2. What do you charge?

Our service is surprisingly affordable, starting as low as $185.00 for a 3 hour session. A rate of $40.00 per hour applies for additional time. I have a complete fee schedule that I can email to you upon request. Unusual requirements for specific jobs are evaluated & billed on a case-by-case basis. At the end of your project, I will submit a detailed invoice to you. Payment is due upon receipt. Credit cards cannot be accepted at this time.

3. Must I work with you, or do you have assistants to help?

The commitment of the client is the key to the success of the re-organizing process. I view this effort as a partnership. I can’t give you a satisfying result without your input. It's important for me to get to know you, so that I can understand what your reasons & ultimate goals are for the re-organization.

If the time you're able to work with me is limited, or the project is very large, I can bring experienced assistants with me.

4. How long is each session?

There is a 3 hour minimum that applies to every session. It's impossible to accomplish very much in less time.

My rule of thumb for residential sessions is that they not exceed 6 hours on any given day. It's usually as much decision making & change as the typical client can handle at one time.

Business appointments conform to the regularly scheduled business hours of the client.

5. What supplies do I need to have on hand before we start?

A few days prior to our appointment, I will send you an email check list that will tell you how to prepare for my visit.

6. How long does this process typically take?

It depends on the space in question, the scope of the job, and how motivated the client is to get organized. The minimum length of any session is 3 hours; usually, an additional 3 hours is about the limit for a single day. However, larger ongoing projects can continue for weeks, or months.

7. You won't make me throw out everything - will you?

Of course not! We all love our "stuff"! The goal of the sorting process is to separate the "stuff" you love from what you merely "like", and to identify what items are still valued, important & useful. Then I'll help you make decisions about what to keep - and what to throw out!
Things that you don't love, or are no longer serving any useful purpose in your life, have essentially become clutter.

8. Can you help me dispose of the things I've decided to get rid of?

Absolutely. This is a special part of our service. We can facilitate the sale, re-cycling, or donation of anything you don't want to keep.

9. Maintenance??

During the de-cluttering process, I will teach you how to develop a system to help you remain organized - permanently.

10. Will you provide references ?

Yes. References are readily available upon request both for me and for my assistants.
